No matter the scale or scope, these self-directed projects play an important role in the mission of MFJ Foundation.
Each project focuses on the goal of empowering humanity one way or another – from female economic upliftment in impoverished countries to helping the local homeless with Miami Rescue. MFJ Foundation strives to support projects that come to light and need assistance in furthering their mission.
Rotary has always been an important organization for MFJ Foundation, evidenced from years of membership and collaboration.
It resonates strongly with an ethos of service before self and wide scope of community upliftment. A variety of programs and initiatives throughout the globe have been supported with the efforts of Rotarians worldwide.
FIU’s Mohsin & Fauzia Jaffer Center for Muslim World Studies will be an international center of excellence promoting a multidisciplinary understanding of Islam and its status around the world.
It will reach thousands of students each year, preparing a new generation to face global change with a solid grounding in Muslim issues. The center will also serve as a clearinghouse for objective, scholarly discourse and a resource for the community.
The Jaffer Institute’s primary mission is to serve as a dynamic college-wide educational hub for studying the global Muslim world and function as an interfaith bridge-builder and platform for dialogue.
The Institute will act as a platform and vehicle to foster dialogue, understanding and awareness around issues of Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, racial harmony, environmental justice, gender equality, multiculturalism, and faith-oriented diversity, equity, and inclusion.
