Our Goal | Challenge:
The Mohsin and Fauzia Jaffer Foundation has embarked on a journey to bring a hospital to the area known as “Old Town” in Mombasa, Kenya. This is an impoverished area of the city and is where both Moshin and Fauzia Jaffer were born and raised. This project is dear to them and hopefully, this vision will soon become a finished reality. The Jaffery Medical Center is currently a small clinic that is being run adjacent to the proposed build site of the hospital.

The Hospital will have a capacity of 80 beds and the following facilities:

The hospital will cater for all treatments and procedures, having both In-Patient and outpatient facilities along with full diagnostics facilities, the main emphasis being on pediatric, child deliveries, pre and postnatal care, which is one of the main needs of the area second being dialysis.
The Hospital will have a talented group of multi-specialty healthcare providers and a skilled team of nurses who are dedicated to meet patient’s medical needs while remaining compassionate and sensitive to the patient’s emotional needs as well.
The construction work is at an advanced stage and Inshallah this project will be ready by fourth quarter of this year 2021.
The funds for the construction (US$ 1 Million) of the hospital building were kindly donated by Jaffer Foundation and Mohsin and Fauzia Jaffer Foundation.
The Jamaat is appealing to Community donors and well-wishers worldwide to support us in equipping the hospital with the required Equipment and furniture etc, which is currently estimated to cost of US$2 million.
