A financially-sound and award-winning non-profit organization, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation’s sole mission is to create awareness and generate funds for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Together, we can match your interests to the areas of greatest need to help you make a difference in a child’s life. Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation supports the hospital by providing the opportunity for members of the local and global community to invest in our children’s future. Your contributions help provide children with the doctors, facilities and innovations that give them the best chance for health and happiness in the future. When Ambassador David M. Walters lost his 6-year-old granddaughter Shannon Joy to leukemia in 1970 due to lack of medical resources, the Ambassador vowed no child would ever have to leave South Florida to receive world-class healthcare. Together with doctors, nurses, technicians, staff, volunteers and the surrounding community, Ambassador Walters started Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation, now Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation, to help guide the transformation of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital into a nationally-ranked pediatric institution.

Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of community, business and philanthropic leaders who serve voluntarily and without compensation. The Board and Foundation leadership are deeply committed to ensuring your donations are used in a fiscally prudent manner to benefit the children cared for at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

The Mohsin and Fauzia Jaffer Foundation sponsored an evening of bowling to raise funds for Children’s Cancer. The Strike Out bowling event was a major success and included the participation of local sports team the Miami Dolphins.
